why vote for jeremy olson?

As commissioner of Washington County I will apply the knowledge and wisdom I have gained in my lifetime to make sound business decisions that will help to create a culture of integrity, efficiency, and value for the residents of the county.  While I have many reasons that I am running for this office, my primary one is my deep love for this country, state, and county, and the desire to see it remain prosperous for generations to come.  

Goals:

• Transparent and Effective Government Operation – People don’t always agree on the types of services and activities that the government should provide for its constituents, but one thing that matters almost universally, is having a level of integrity and trust in the government that it is using tax dollars in the manner that is intended. It should not be difficult to stand before the residents of Washington County and describe with confidence and assurance that the top issues and needs of this community are the driving force behind all spending decisions.

• Innovative and Efficient Government Operation – We live an age defined by quickly changing technology, challenges, and needs. Change is often difficult, but to prosper and grow as a community it is essential to make the best use of our limited resources in manner that keeps us on a path towards growth. We have seen that simply throwing more money at things to see what works will not be sustainable. People must be equipped with the right tools and skills to provide the greatest results possible.
